For Sale: My MASSIVE Shadow Poster

Posted 7/26/2007 by Dave

In an effort to raise money to buy that dang VBulletin license, I am selling my prized Shadow the Hedgehog poster on ebay - it's one of a kind, and bigger than any other you can find. Three feet wide and nearly five feet tall. Hopefully if this sells well I can have the forums back up asap.

For the First Time in the History of the Site...

I'm asking for donations. Essentially we've been using "nulled" (illegal) versions of our forum software for many months, and recently a VBulletin representative has come forward and asked me to remove the software. Unfortunately, I cannot re-open the forums until I purchase a license for VBulletin. A one-year license is $85 - so if I can manage to get that much in donations, I'll buy the license and re-open the forums. Until then, all of our other sections are open!

Sonic and the Secret Rings ships!

Sonic and the Secret Rings box art

Sonic and the Secret Rings is OUT! You should be able to pick it up at major retailers now, although you might have to wait if you do not have a reservation. In a surprise to many gamers, Sega included what Wikipedia calls "a manner similar to Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz" (also produced by Sega), the game features a party game-like multiplayer mode that can support up to 4 players simultaneously. So far the reviews are good, so if you have a Wii SatSR is a must!

Sonic and the Secret Rings approaches!

Sonic and the Secret Rings

The launch date for Sonic and the Secret Rings is only just over a month away! "SatSR" is Sonic's first non-virtual console game for Nintendo's Wii system, so you can expect full use of its innovative controller. The question is, of course, how can you use tilt sensors and pointing recognition in a game like Sonic? Sonic Team and Sega haven't said too much, but with any luck, the controls on the Wii will make up for the mediocre controls on the past few Sonic console games! We also have the first commercial for Sonic and the Secret Rings ready in our video download section, or a direct link here. SatSR was originally announced in May of last year as "Sonic Wild Fire", and although it was initially expected to be the Wii's counterpart to the more powerful PS3 and 360's "Sonic Next", Sonic and the Secret Rings, according to Yuji Naka, will be something new. The scheduled release date is Tuesday, February 27th.
